Happy Birthday Mom, I’m re-gifting words

Happy Birthday Mom. I posted this on Facebook on Mother’s Day and I still mean it. Thanks for loving me, feeding me, comforting me, clothing me, washing my diapers, cleaning up my puke, cutting my hair, sitting in the principal’s office with me, not letting me get away with lies, teaching me about Jesus, showing me sacrifice, buying me popsicles when I had a fever, sleeping in on Saturday’s so we could watch reruns of “Bonanza” and “Streets of San Francisco,” taking me to the beach, putting up with my disrespect, laughing at my jokes, always sticking up for me, believing in me, spending time in The Word with Christy Garbarino, praying for me when I didn’t care, and being a living example of what it means to persevere and persevere and persevere and “patient continuance in doing good.” You’re the best mom a son could ask for. I love you.
